Anyone bought these for their 3rd gen CRV?

I previously installed the Anzo CCFL headlights in my 2010 CRV, but the CCFL inverter boxes burnt out and I hate replacing them. I like that these already have proper HID projectors built in. I was running HIDs for 7 years in my projectors and tried the morimoto 2stroke LEDs and its not the same

I'm skeptical about buying something like this from an unknown seller in China. Any advice? Any chance these would be street legal here? The harness should be compatible with our dual light?

My uncle has this exact set on his third gen. I had helped him out with his high beam issue. Apparently there's a module with two wires that smoked and made the low beams go out. I warned my uncle in getting these type of aftermarket headlights due to the construction and wiring involved in them. Luckily he had purchased it off of CarID and was able to get a replacement sent. However, I believe this set is well over-priced, where my uncle was able to get it around $375 for the set. Just be warned, I would rather get another set of headlights, bake them, and place morimoto set up inside.

Thanks for the warning! I'm surprised, I've never seen a USA seller with this set for sale. What morimoto projectors would you recommend if I was to do a retrofit with one of the projector headlamps floating around like the ones on carid like the Lumen: https://www.carid.com/2010-honda-cr-v-projector-headlights/

They all look pretty similar to the Europe style CRV headlights, but I'm not sure what retrofit projectors would be the closest fit. Thanks,

I really preferred finding a seller that already put it together for me, that's why the ebay listing seemed so tempting although its not cheap.

I saw a youtube for that and it looks great.

For the 3rd gen, the high beams are the DRLs. How do I get around that? I've read some ppl disable it or have the low beams running 24/7 (bad idea for HIDs).

I saw Morimoto have the M LED ones out now. I don't know if those would function as DRL properly , but that seems like the best option where you get the H4 easy setup bi-xenon but still get to keep the DRLs by running the LEDs as high beams for daytime.

Is that the only option short of doing some rewiring of DRLs to fogs or something(how hard would that be)? Thanks,

CRV Headlight costs have dropped a lot in the last 5 years. The full pair in black was only $160 shipped so I decided to just do it:

The parts for the retrofit cost a lot more, the shroud + LED hallos cost as much as the projectors, total being $437 for the retrofit parts:

So you do save about $500 or ~half compared to just buying it.

Because of the H4 ring in our headlights everything is plug n play except for the shrouds. Those you have to cut the back of by one inch and gluing them to the projector was stressful. The shrouds easily took more time than everything else combined. I haven't done the swap yet, hate taking off the bumper...

The LED hallos are very bright, I was worried they might not be good DRLs but excellent brightness.

The fit was OK, I think this brand quality wasn't very good so one of the headlights isn't perfectly aligned at the edges. Since its OEM style headlights its not any different than the regular OEM headlights. Fitting the projectors inside the headlights was very easy because the CRV headlights is huge, probably one of the biggest headlights for putting stuff inside them.

OK, here's some terrible night shots through the driver windshield.

The right side has some rotational alignment issues because I bent the metal bar part of the D2S bulb when I was inserting and removing it from the headlight. I'll probably replace the bulb in a year if it doesn't burn out before than. The metal part is bent and cracked on the base:

Dont think its a rotational issue of the projector itself, that looks pretty level.

Sorry for not responding sooner, I never received an email that someone was responding to this thread.

I took it to a car shop and had them wire it directly to the under steering wheel fuse box to one of the outlets that are always live when the car ignition on, I think its the cigarette outlet? This way its always on when the car is on. The problem for under hood fuse boxes is those are always live, even when car is off.

I was thinking of also splicing it to the diode for the parking lights so when you lock/unlock cars it would flash but never got around to that.
