Is anybody else experiencing issues while listening to music via a smartphone that is connected by bluetooth. I listen to my music on my phone in my car and every single song has a skip in it, almost like the old school records.

I don't have any issues with my Android phone.

Some phones when the screen is off, the cpu governor will lower the frequency of the cpu to save battery life. The phone cpu will then have problems keeping up with processing the music over bluetooth, resulting in skips.

The easiest work around is to keep the screen on by going into display setting and set the display sleep to the maximum time delay. Alternatively with a bit more work, you could root your phone and change the kernel cpu governor and cpu frequencies.

I use to have this issue with the stock Honda Pandora app.
Android Auto Pandora worked without issues.

To fix it, I did s soft-reset of the Infotainment system by holding down the radio button for about 10-15 seconds.
Then you will get a message asking if you want to restart.

Apparently, the Infotainment system goes into standby mode and never restarts until you manually restart or disconnect the battery.
