Not gonna lie, I was a bit thrown off seeing it was a brand new 6th gen. Sorry about what happened to you and I hope those lowlifes get caught. Did you have wheel locks on when they were stolen?

Also looks like they smashed your windows. If you had stuff on the seats, etc. I would suggest not leaving any bags, purses, etc in view. As for if it's a common occurrence with CR-V's, I own 2 and they've never been vandalized but then again I live in suburban NJ.

Yep, wheel locks were installed. Looks like they broke in to get to the wheel lock key in the glove box. Ironically there would be less damage if I wasn’t using wheel locks.

I was surprised too. I live in suburban Massachusetts and this happened in a relatively non-sketchy movie theater parking lot at 9:30pm. Crazy stuff.

Now you got me considering taking the wheels locks off my CRV 🤣 But I guess you could just lock your glove box too so you only have to deal with the window and not the wheels

Thats some serious bad luck - hoping the Police do something instead of eat donuts and find the perps and throw them in the slammer.

No consolation, but at least your insurance will cover you and right the wrongs - although I'd personally be inclined to reject the car and demand a brand new replacement.

Insurance/Honda probably won't give you a new car, the damage wasn't Honda's fault.

That sucks.
Care to elaborate where the movie theater is? For us other Massachusetts residents.

Many years ago I was at a work bowling league at a northern NJ town in a nice area. The police made an announcement for the owner of a vehicle to come to the front desk. The police had caught someone jacking her car up to steal the wheels.

The police said they were doing extra patrols as this had happened before at the bowling area.

I just got some wheel locks...I'll definitely hide the socket somewhere not so obvious. That might not stop someone smashing in the window but if they can't take the wheels I'd call it a victory. I figured a wheel thief would have another way to remove those locks.

What I don't get is how they do that, it isn't like a five minute job, and no one calls the police. Or are the police really slow there? I have never heard of Honda issue being stolen but these are strange times.

I'm sorry to learn of this but at least there are two bright spots from this event:

1) They left you a couple of spare milk crates to store stuff in your garage.
2) You now have easier access to paint the calipers if you choose to do so.

(Just a little humor, very little to help get your mind on off the vermin who did this...and yes, I was in your shoes six years ago with a Ram 2500!)

Likely a group of 2-3-4 people. All armed with pneumatic guns to pop the nuts off.

Takes less than 30 seconds a wheel.

It appears this is a EX/EXL model? Those wheels aren't any thing special in my opinion. Maybe the Hybrid units.
Nah, it is the Hybrid becoz the side mirror is black
