I think it's probably nothing more than hurt cosmetics, and hurt pride. It sounds like your bumper cover might have scraped on the cement. And yes, there are inexpensive clips that hold it in place. They can often be reached from beneath the CR-V without having to remove anything else. It's probably best to have someone at least replace the clips so nothing is flopping around back there.
Are you saying the rear hatch was backed into? Hopefully it is still opening and closing OK. It does not take much to knock the alignment off, unless it was minor enough.
