Remove & Replace Water Pump Labor Hours = 3.6
3.6 hrs X $90usd/hr = $324usd

That's the cost I recently paid to have my Timing Belt / Water Pump service.

A dealership flat rate in their shop is $90/hour in D.C. ??? Here the dealer I went to most recently was $140/hr !! You must've gone to an Indy !! Craig

I used to work at a Shell gas station as an apprentice with a level one master ASE technician. I trust his level of expertise when it comes to engine work beyond my abilities. I've also worked at dealerships, and not all technicians are ASE certified. That's why I never roll the dice with dealerships.
