Hello, newbie here having a frustrating time. My serpentine belt snapped on my cr-v. I replaced the tensioner and bought a dayco (#5070567) belt, for the life of me I can't get the belt on, I've even exchanged it hoping it was defective. Does anybody have any ideas that can help me, even if its getting a fractionally longer belt. THANKS IN ADVANCE

How does the length of the new belt compare with the old? Not unheard of to get the wrong part due to look-up errors, or different brands.

Are you using a serpentine belt tool to release the tensioner? They cost about $20 and make the job SOOOO much easier.
