As i was going through the car wash (engine running) my SES light went on. I check it with my code reader and it was the oxygen sensor heater bank 1. I tried to erase the code the first time and had a hard time starting car but it did eventually start. I waited a few days to let it dry out and tried to erase again and it came right back on but this time started normally. I called my mechanic and he said to bring it in that it was probably just a coincendence. I dont believe in coincindences so can you tell me how to test the sensor and if it is possible that only HOnda can erase the code?

IT IS COINCIDENCE. If someone doesnt believe in coincidence they must live a very stressful, expensive and angry life lol

If you want to reset the code, unhook the battery and let it sit for a few minutes. if it comes back have an O2 sensor in it and be done with it.
