I have a 2017 LX and a dog that sheds like crazy, Looking to get a liner that completely covers the back cargo area. Does anybody have any recommendations.

Thanks

I was looking at one at autogeek.com by CoverCraft that's specifically for dogs, but at $300 it's pretty pricey. It is more of a bed than just a liner, so that may not be what you're looking for.

Other people here are using another brand that is more of a liner; unfortunately I can't remember if that is Honda-branded or not.

freshlysqueezed pointed out the Canvasback liners here: http://www.crvownersclub.com/forums...down-once-when-moving-boxes-2.html#post932714

If you can transport them in the back seat, there's a "hammock" type cover than installs quickly. It has adjustable loops that fit over the headrests on the front and back seats as well as slots for the seat belt latches (for dog seat beats). I bought this one and although it's out of stock, there are many similar ones listed on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C7EK330/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

My friend uses it in the cargo area. She turns it around so it loops over the back head rests, then drapes it down into the cargo area. She primarily uses it with a dog crate, so that keeps it in place. I would think you could anchor it in some fashion near the hatch with the extra headrest loops. I guess it depends on how fitted you need your cover. I have 2 smaller dogs that are both shedding machines but they're not riding around that often. I like the convenience of putting it on quickly -- as well as it folding up compactly for storage. It's surprisingly heavy duty and the price is pretty good.

I woke up with a brainstorm that a cargo liner could be made out of the free moving blankets at Harbor Freight. i suppose it could also be used for a rear seat pad and a few straps added to make it a sling.

I think the ones they put on for free are the smallest -- 40x72? Normal price $4.99. Quilted and padded is what I think I want -- no loss if it doesn't work out.

(Free if you buy another item and have a free coupon. Subscribe to their emails and mail flyers if you have a store in your area.)

Now, I just have to wait for a moving blanket coupon... we would have gone elsewhere for a dog walk this weekend if I'd had a cargo liner.
