Carpet removal

Has anyone tried to remove the carpet from the passenger side floor board?

GF had a spill. I pulled the plastic panels back and I'm just trying to make sure there aren't wires attached to anything.

It looks straight forward and it looks like it's a separate piece from the drivers side and it also separate from the under seat portion.

Otherwise I may have tire hire a detail shop to do an extraction in place.

I did this. The driver and passenger side are connected by two small 'bridges' . I cut the connections with a knife as you have to pull the entire center console and bracket to pull it out in one piece. They don't seem to have a purpose.

Pull the center console trim off on both sides and you'll have no problem doing the same. Iirc you have to pull the seat too.

The led illumination kit instructions - get them on college hills - have really good instructions for removing the lower trim pieces.

Thank you, I also discovered last night the seats have to come out. That sucks. Also thanks for the reminder about college hills. I wasn't getting in one of the trim pieces very easily.

I cleaned the carpet by had half a dozen times so far and it's a lot better.
