I have a 2003 crv awd. Im getting the code for the Vtec solenoid, as well as not being able to exceed 2,700 rpms. Here is all that I have done and I am still having the problem. I have changed the oil, and oil filter, even went to a higher viscosity oil. I have replaced the Vtec solenoid. I have tested the new solenoid and the old one, and they both check to be good. The switch with the 2 pin connector has continuity. Terminal 1 (blue/black) has 12 volts. B terminal 9 isn't grounded. The Vtec solenoid valve reads 18 ohms of resistance. I don't have the lines to check actual oil pressure. But I don't feel its the oil pressure causing it. I can clear the codes with my scanner and without starting the car, just key to the ON position, it will reset the code. I am thinking the engine computer itself is bad. Am I correct? or????

Is there a way to bypass or activate the vtec or is this a computer problem if the sensors, wiring checks, and pressure is all good?
