My new to me 2003 CRV center dash cup holder only comes out half way and then stops. I've seen pictures of what it looks like and the description of how to take it out but with it stopping half way, what to do?

I can't empathize since our manual '06 doesn't have those cup holders.

I'd look for a replacement at a junkyard or CoPart, but before you pay for a replacement, give yours a mighty YANK.

It's either going to free up, or break! :temptation:

That's not very encouraging but I have to admit, I'd thought about doing just that.

My 03 EX was showing something similar. Turns out it was just gunked up from coffee and soda spills from theprevious owner. Light water sprays and a toothbrush to the side tracks freed it up. Wiped it down then lightly sprayed some Awesome Orange cleaner. Worked the mechanism back and forth and now it's gliding smooth. If it feels like the resistance is from broken or seperated tracking might need to replace as mentioned above.

I've had gunked up cup holders on an expensive import years ago.

Copious quantities of windex plus patience to match finally freed it up.
