Hi all,

Currently have 19inch rims on the CR-V but fed up of harsh ride and only getting only 9k miles out of a set of front tyres which cost a fortune being 19inch tyres.

Seriously considering moving to 17inch rims to improve the ride and reduce tyre cost.

Has anyone else done this and if so any regrets?

They are the factory fitted tyres 245/45/19 I think. These are the wheels which are honda option so not too small.

Dang! Honda did a 19in option overseas?! Here in the US, the 3rd gen only got 17's on a 17x6.5 rim and a 225/65/17 tyre. The tyre is too wide for the wheel in my opinion. I just picked up a set of RDX wheels that are 18x7.5 and need to get tyres. If i go with the stock RDX size it would be 235/55/18, but a 245/55/18 is the closest to the stock size. Should provide a decent ride without it being too stiff, and I am lowered on HR springs and Sachs.
