Hi,
2022 CRV <1000 miles.
I can only hear this when window is open.
When the car is in 'P' (OR in another gear and then put in to 'P'), I hear a clicking noise. No noise if switching between any other gears for example D<->R. Only P<->R/D.
Is this normal?
Can some else check please?

thank youuuu

Is it your electric parking brake setting and releasing?

And your sure it’s not set to automatically activate and release? Mine is.
Yes, it's not set to do that. parking brake sound is a much slower whirry sound (and I hear it windows up).
This is a clear click, which i can hear when the windows are down. (and only when P<->R/D)

@EXcommunicated If you could check yours without the parking brake in the picture, and windows down so you can hear it, that would be really helpful 🙏

I checked. Yes, there is a very distinct “click” shifting in/out of park. I assume it’s a solenoid that electronically engages/disengages PARK.
