I noticed a sound this week and it's one of those "was it always doing that or is this new?" things. Essentially when my 2017 CR-V is in park and I depress the brake pedal to switch the gearbox there is an audible clicking noise coming from behind the shift lever (the box). It does this all the time but only when the vehicle is in park. I assume it has to do with the locking mechanism to prevent shifting out of park when the brake is not depressed. I was wondering if the noise is normal or if this is unusual and needs to be fixed?
