I have a 2001 crv 97000 miles.Just done a compression test and 3 cylinders were 190 but unfortunately 1 was down to 175..

Going to check valve clearances but i don't think that's the problem.

Any ideas please.

Yes, that one cylinder is low, but still within 10% of the others. Repeat after valve adjustment and make sure you use the same number of cranks per each cylinder on a warm engine.

If you get similar numbers after adjustment, personally I would leave well enough alone if everything is running right. YD

Thank you for your reply and good advise.Yes will repeat the check after i have checked the valves.
