We have an old 2001 Crv we are fixing, went to buy a 3 belt set from BANDO... but noticed in my research, when it came to the Alternator Belt... some sites say the 4PK 820 does not fit... where other sites say 4PK 820/ 4PK 825 belt ??

What we have in the set is the BANDO 4PK 820 belt (also has these listed underneath K040322 / 5040323 / 4040322 / 323K4)

Husband looked it up on Rock Auto and it has the 4PK 825 listed as the correct Belt ... this is very confusing , we have not gotten to the belt yet.. if it's the 825...I need to get it ordered.

So does anyone know which is the correct belt for the 2001 Honda CRV with a square hole?

Do you have your old belt? Bando uses a variation on an industrial standard for ribbed belt sizing. 4PK825--4 ribs, 825mm length. The belt length is the length if the belt were cut and laid out flat, or measured in a circumference.

(Other manufacturers use proprietary part numbers, so do not base your research on their numbers.)

4PK820 would be 820mm long vs. 825mm. So only a 5mm difference in length.

Bando shows the 4PK825 being the correct size:
