Hello everyone.

There is a huge possibility that I may be buying a 13' CRV with a blown motor for DIRT cheap. When I say DIRT cheap i actually mean it. I have the means to buy a stock motor and drop it in fairly easily. But before I do that, I thought about the swap mentioned in the title? Has something like this been done before, if it has, how hard was it? how much custom work is needed. If not, does anyone have any insight, or direction they could point me in. Thank you for your time.

You might search YouTube. Not sure if the V6 will fit, but I know the 2.0L Civic Si motor with 6-speed manual will. The tricky part is not fit, but the electronics - computer, etc. You'd probably have to transplant the entire harness and components from a whole Civic Si. Now that would be a killer project! But it might be easier, and cheaper, too, to just do a full high performance 2.4L engine build. I wouldn't advise taking it on unless you have pretty much unlimited funds. But you'd have a CR-V Si! Or something like that. Some European or Asian parts would work for this, as they get the manual trans over there. You could probably get a JDM Japanese package. You might try some local (or not) tuners to see what they say.

I saw a killer video about a Japanese tuner that dropped this setup into an Odyssey. It was putting out around 300hp. Fast!
