I'm have intermittent auto. transmission problem. It seams like its not engaging, so I started to check the solenoids. Everything I've found said the ohms reading should be 12 to 24 ohms. The D shift solenoid checks out at 5.5 ohms, so is this consider bad? What info I've found has been for 2004,2002, couldn't fine 2005. Any feed back would help.

Thanks

According to my Helms manual, the spec is the same (~12 to 25 OHMs) for a 2005 - 2006. The book says to replace the solenoid if out of range (after making sure that the harness/connectors are not damaged).

More likely, there are other (mechanical) causes of slow initial engagement, though. What else have you done to resolve the issue? Do you have a history of maintenance performed? Any 'Blinking D' symptoms?
