I never "got" the debadging thing? What is the appeal?

I doubt you'd want to do that on a touring. The radar/distance detector is in the logo assembly :)

Personalization. I took off the H's but left the CRV emblem. Looks different than all the other crv on the road. Correctoion: the notches were in the rear embkem area, not the front like I posted.

All 3 of my vehicles are de-badged. IMO, you have to be selective on what badges to remove. I left the "H" in the front of my CR-V because of what the OP found and because of the indentation that the rear emblem sits in. The "CR-V" and "AWD" emblems I removed from the rear. It makes it a lot easier to wash and wax and also is a cleaner look IMO.

My other vehicles have no emblems showing trim level, make, or model (with the exception of the front grill).
