So I've been using my CarPlay more with Apple Music. If I start the car first, then connect my phone it does ok. However, if I turn off vehicle with phone still plugged in when I turn car back on it can't seem to find it, even though it sometimes continues to play the last song. If I unplug and reconnect the phone it will find it but sometimes the screen is still black and I have to go to Home, then Audio to get display back. Very annoying if you are just running in somewhere for a few moments to have to do this every time. And yes it is an official Apple cord and iphone 7 is up to date on latest software.
It wasn't always like this but seems to be a normal occurrence now. ANY HELP OR ADVICE?

I have a 2017 EX-L w/ Nav. Yes off and on problem since inception but it seems to be worse now. Requires multiple plug ins to phone to get it working. This is high tech???
