Do you usually keep the ECO on or off when driving? Or do you turn on the ECO button during highway drives and keep it off for city driving? I find ECO to be sluggish so I prefer to keep it off but not sure the impact it has on the mpg.
Always on - 2012 CRV / auto with 174,000 km. Gas mileage has been 31.7 mpg / 8.61 litres per 100 km since new if you are looking for something to compare to.
2015 EX AWD. I rotate, with an emphasis on ECO on during Winter. Better cold weather mpg. 2-3 Months on, 2-3 Months off. Any of the top hypermiling numbers I've got in any season have all come with ECO on. I've always found enough pep to suit me in ECO but haven't been anywhere near load limit. Have absolute zero idea if one mode or the other makes any difference in internal engine (or even tranny) wear. Don't think so.
Bought our 2016 last year w/12.5K miles from a Honda dealer. In going over the car with us, he told us not to bother with it, more of a gimmick than anything substantive.
Mine told me the exact opposite. Lol. I do leave it on. When push comes to shove, if you hit the pedal the car will never refuse to accelerate. It just makes the pedal more sensitive. I think it’s kinda cool
I love my (2013) CR-V. But I do wish the CR-V had more power. I'm not racing it, or anything, so that being said... aw haaaiilll naw do I use eco mode. No damn way. Guess I can save a buck at the end of the year? Not worth it at all.
Bought our ‘15 CRv Ex-L 2wd in March: used Econ all the time until 2 fill ups ago now only use the Econ in town but on highway off. Seems to work well so far.
