If the CRV is unlocked and i grab the door handle to get in it locks? Unlocking i get as my Passport does the same thing. Is this normal? Anyone else experience this?

Unless they have changed things for the hybrid (not like Honda to do that sort of change) normal behavior is that grabbing the door handle unlocks the door. If the vehicle is unlocked and you grab the door handle it should do nothing.

Are you sure you are not touching the button spot when you open the door with the handle?

If you are certain you are not touching the little button, then maybe have it evaluated by your dealer. Pushing the little button spot on the top of the handle locks the door.

Door handle was not wet was it? I ask because both the unlock and lock features are touch sensitive triggers, and a wet handle can confuse the lock and unlock sometimes (found that out washing my vehicle with my FOB in my pocket).

i think you’ve solved it. The ‘22 CRV doesn’t have a button like my ‘21 Passport has. It does have 3 little raised lines on top of the door handle that works like the button. I never noticed them until just now. I must have been hitting them when grabbing the door handle. Thank you.

Just to clarify.... those 3 raised lines IS the locking button. That is exactly what is on my 2017 CRV. It is a capacitive button and reacts to conductance from your finger. It is not a pressure switch.
