Hi there,
I appreciate all the info y'all share here -- great stuff and cool site
Here's the question: I went to the Honda/Acura dealer to get some Dual Pump II rear diff fluid for a relative's recently acquired 98 CRV with AWD. (No telling when/if it was last changed.) They were out, and sold me Acura DPSF instead, explaining that it was the same thing with a different label. Reading up on the net informs me that it's not quite the same thing after all. Still good to use in the CRV rear diff? (Apparently this would have gone in if we'd taken it to the dealer for service!) Supposedly this stuff takes a lot of abuse in the Acura differentials.
Any solid feedback or educated guesses will be appreciated.
Thanks!
