I recently test drove a 2017 EX-L and really liked it. But it didn’t seem like the up functions of the power seat had enough power to handle my 280 pounds. I’m pretty sure that it went up when I adjusted it from outside the car. I’ll have to try it in another car at a later date.
Has anyone else noticed any similar behavior?

Seats are usually designed to handle up to 300 pounds

I like my seat as high as possible so I adjust it to maximum up position then get in and adjust downward as needed. Let's gravity do all the work. I'm about 270. My 2016 EX has no problem either direction but since I know I want maximum height I've just always done it that way.
