Hi all,
I have a 2005 CR-V 2.2 CDTI and whilst on holiday pulling a caravan I had a large cloud of black smoke and car went into limp mode, I connected the OBD and it came up with egr valve fault, I re set the code and everything was ok except now it kicks out a load of smoke on hard acceleration, I have just taken the egr valve and all pipes off to give them a clean, the were all clogged up with heavy carbon deposit, I was just about to get a Big pen into the 2" pipes they were that bad, however they were all soaked over night in carb cleaner and jet washed and all came up gleaming. I have vacuum going into the top of the egr valve but not sure if the actual valve is opening when it's suppose too, does anyone know at which pressure on the vacuum gauge they are suppose to open please, Thanks.
