I'm troubleshooting an intermittent flickering battery light, and have pulled out the ELD. The cord on the plug is very short, but I was able to pop clilp on the ELD off. However, it's so short that I can't get the blasted thing back on. I can't enough of the plug out of the hole. Any suggestions?

While we're on the subject, where can I get a replacement? It doesn't appear anyone repops these as new. Have the ELDs for the RD1 become junkyard-only parts?

Well at the risk of this thread turning into a monologue, I just spoke to a parts guy at the dealer and he said the RD1s didn't have the ELD as a separate part number; you had to get the entire fuse box! (Part number 38250-S10-A01). That changed with the gen 2 CR-V. I can find those units all day both OEM and Dorman brand.

Does anyone know of the Gen 2 ELD will work with a Gen 1 CR-V? It looks like the same unit ...
