I got emission test for my 2005 CRV LX. I want to know, is my car ready for successful (pass) result ? How to check ? What are the precautions I should take before taking to test centre ? My friend told me, the muffler should be throwing out water. I checked, it is not.

Doesn it mean car will fail the test ? Any help and guidance please ?

Km: 90K

Thanks in advance.

i you haven't changed the air filter in a while now is the time. Take it out for a good run on the highway a day or two before the test and avoid using cheap gas. Very rarely have i seen a newer CRV fail emmisions so you should be fine.

If your muffler is throwing out water an emmisions test is the least of your problems.

A few drops of water out the tailpipe is normal.....If you don't have any i would not be too worried about it.

Your friend kinda made it sound like water out the tailpipe is a good thing, but if it's more than just a few drips (like in the morning when the engine is cold), water out the tailpipe usually indicates a blown head gasket.
