i'm having the same problem with my 1999 AWD Automatic
False neutral
1998 crv goes into neutral once it is warmed up, shut the vehicle off and restart an it reset to normal for a short time then returns to neutral.

When did you last change the ATF?
That's what happens when people don't change the fluid regularly as required.
Both of you, your transmissions unless extremely low on fluid are now dead and must be rebuilt/replaced.
