I have an 08 CR-V and was wondering if anyone has used the Fumoto(sp) oil drain valve? My worry is that the lever will somehow open and dump my oil.

FUMOTO valve?

I'm not familiar with the setup. Just a vague idea in my mind.

Is the intent to drain oil only with the Futomo every other time when you have to change oil filter as recommended (so I've heard but do not agree with)?

If so so is it worth it to replace a 99.999% safe drain plug with a lesser reliable Futomo? After all it has got to be at least 99.998 safe! :D

You have to get down on the ground sometime and replace the filter at some point. Or bring it somewhere to have it done.

I write this as I am about to get off my wheelchair to lay on the cold ground  and change oil myself on my '03 Xtreme.

How ingenious. Does anyone know if we just need the F106 (or F106N) valve? Do we need the adapter like the Element does?

I made a research of the fumoto drain valve for
HONDA CR-V, no adapter is needed as long as you get
the F-106N (with the nipple). Its $21.95 and $6.00
for the drain hose.

I am considering this option but I want to make sure....:D
