I have a 2001 CRV manual transmission with about 240k miles on it, the timing belt was replaced around 210k, I replaced a leaky radiator as well and she seems to be doing well. I'm wondering if there are some other preventative maintenance things I could do to help keep this CRV running well into the future. Also curious about some comfort upgrades that may improve the driving -- I have no tires on and in general the ride is pretty good, I add a tow hitch and the muffler rattles a bit against it, I need to put a bad between the receiver body and the muffler to help quiet it down a touch.

We're thinking about doing a cross country road trip next spring as well and I'm wondering what things I should be checking beforehand -- just got done with a 1500m trip with no issues.

Thanks!

Sounds like you’ve got it covered pretty good so far. Best of luck on the next trip!

I imagine you’ll need tires for the trip though (since you have none), and maybe a nice quiet highway tire would be nice.
