Does anyone know if its possible to run a standard gps such as a garmin through the video screen while driving? I would want to do this in order to have a larger and easier to see view. I don't like the Honda navigator or the Iphone app.

thanks

Here's what I know. My 2015 EX-L has an HDMI plug. I can plug my iPhone into the HDMI port and the MAP APP will appear on the 7 inch screen. The problem is that the car won't let you watch videos while driving and it's too stupid to be able to tell if you are displaying a video or a map. As soon as you move the gearshift out of part the MAP display goes away. There probably is a way to defeat this if you knew which wire on the display to ground. I've researched aftermarket head units for my other car and found where you can defeat this safety item but it varies from head unit to head unit.

I don't think so. I just stick my Garmin to the GPS screen, the 12v is strait down from there, and the Garmin is exponentially better than the Honda nav.
