Hello, everyone. As of today I'm buying my first Honda CR-V EX 2000 model year.I love that this is a manual 5 speed transmission. Hard to find a manual tranny anymore. I found this on Craigslist and couldn't resist the price for the shape the vehicle was in. I'm already a Honda owner since 2012 and own a 2005 Honda Element. I'm also on their community, so I thought I would join this one as well too. I look forward to learning my way around the forum and am really amazed at how reliable these Honda vehicles are. My Honda Element has 216000 miles on the clock and the CR-V were buying today has 215000 some miles. I am meticulous about proper maintenance kinds of issues so I'm hoping that will help me get a few more miles and years out of these vehicles.

Okay kloker here are the pictures you were asking for. Yesterday I washed and vacuumed and waxed by hand the car. So that made a perfect time today to add up some picture on my machine. Hit 216000 on the odometer. Runs really good and looks pretty nice for an old car.

Looks pretty nice. If you could find a body shop that can restore your headlights, you'll have much better visibility at night, and there are some plastic trim restorers that will work wonders on those side moldings.

Also, EX models had a factory keyless entry system. If you don't have the remote, they can be found cheap on eBay. I was lucky my car came to me with the original keys and remote. I use it all the time; so nice to have.

I got when purchased 2 sets of keys and it does have the added ABS braking and keyless entry. I’m glad it is the manual 5 speed. I was wondering if I should purchase a valet key. I’m still undecided on that one. But only the drivers door unlocks and I’m wondering if I have the drivers wiring harness issue. Not a big concern for me right now as it’s not to hard to reach over or behind and manually unlock the doors. It’s just my wife and I now as our kids are grown and gone so for now the lock issue isn’t a concern.

The headlights do need some love. They look sunburned, which happens when the car is parked outside all the time.

Very nice! I tried hard to find a V with a manual trans, for a year! Only one I found was black (no good in Texas), had 150k on it (too much), and was not as nice as yours, even though it was an '06. I also almost bought an Element. I also found an Element, an'08 with a manual trans, but it had 155k on it and was also black, though it was clean, but the price was too high. I'm happy with my '07 AT, but I still watch. Still haven't found one of either car, over a year later. They're like hen's teeth around here. Oh, well.

Get yourself a Honda factory service manual. I got one and it has easily paid for itself. eBay - on disc, $45.

Show us yer Element too! And enjoy that V! What, no pics of the inside?

Kloker, here are some of the inside. I’ll get the Element after it gets its hood fixed at body shop. Wife hit a streetlight pole in a parking lot 🤬

Yes, that is Spider-Man hanging down from rear passenger seat. It’s a reminder to our 25 year old son that when he was 7 he had a tantrum at Santa Monica pier about buying him that. It used to be hanging in the Element but when we bought the CR-V she transferred it over to it. The Element is all mine to drive. She is banned from driving the Element now after the accident happened lol 😝.
