While waiting for my wife to run in the store today, I sat in our CR-V with the engine running and in Park. When she approached the car I pushed the hatch opening button on the dash, but the hatch only opened about 2 feet or so. I got out, engine still running, went to the back and pushed the hatch button on the key fob...nothing, the hatch would not open further nor would it close...I got back in and turned the ignition off and pushed the dash button again and it opened, I then closed it using the button on the hatch itself. Maybe a safety feature if the car is running and attempting to open the hatch?

maybe you entered the programming mode by mistake
I didn't/ don't think you can program the height from inside the vehicle, I would tend to think you may have hit it twice by accident and that's why it stopped midway....

Either that or hiccups, I've noticed this car has lots of hiccups...... sheesh ......
