Got no hair so can't pull it out LOL.
Just changed my older type 2007 headlamps with those of a 2011 model and after installing them discovered that the main beam are the high intensity bulb type. That means that the wiring requires to be changed because at the moment with the older headlight type plugs connected the main beams work but the dip beams do not.
There was an extra plug on the harness when they arrived (used) but as the wiring had been cut I have no way of connecting them to get the dip beams to work so temporarily I have left them unwired.
All I need to know is where the wires can be connected into the loom. The colours are Black (N)and Blue (P)./ The bulbs, including the high intensity ones all work because I have tested them.
Anyone any ideas or do I just disconnect them all and rewire from scratch after tracing the feeds?
Haynes manuals are CRAP!

Igniters? They are ballasts. I ordered the lamps and was assured that they were the correct ones for my 2007 Exec. As the load feed for the units are given on them, including the HID ballast, and they are all 12v 10amp I can see no problem with excessive current loads. I have tested the units on a protected power supply with a ammeter and voltmeter to reassure myself that there are no overloads. Thanx for trying anyway.

Will do my friend, got to find something to do here in the UK now Boris has locked us all down! At least I have 50 odd years as a mechanic before I retired from the rat race. Hope you and yours are well and don't catch the 'lurgy'.

Got it figured out now. Just 2 wires to change over the worst part being that the lamps have to come back out to access the multiplugs. Double checked with auto electrician and have been assured there would be no problem because the wiring installed was rated at a far higher amperage than was necessary.
Might as well replace all of the front parking sensors while the bumper is off then do the rear ones too plus put all new bulbs in just in case some are old and ready to blow.
At least then I will have peace of mind. Next job is a full underbody grit blast then anti-rust and Waxoyl treatment including the door interiors. £495.00 inclusive quote seems a fair one considering all hollow sections will be treated plus all underbody guards removed and replaced. Only negative is that its a fair old drive to the centre!
