Hi all,

I’m new in this forum. How’s everyone doing?

I got myself a used 2008 Honda CR-V with about 47500 miles on it. Been using it for three weeks with no problems but I noticed a day ago that when shifting from D > N > R > P, it makes a loud clunk when it goes into R and another one when it hits P. But there is no sound when shifting from P > R > N > D. Other than that it drives great.

What could possibly be the problem?

Thanks all

Jeremy

Welcome to the forum. It sounds like it might be a transmission mount failing. Do you have any problems when you're driving?

The first thing I would do is change the transmission fluid and if that doesn't fix it I would then look at the transmission mount.

Congratulations on finding a 2008 with such low mileage! I have a third generation like yourself and love driving her.
