I have had a 2001 Honda CRV since last summer. I bought it for $2600 from my mechanic who did a lot of work on it. It has 186,000 miles. I'm joining because I'm wondering things like should I keep it, should I put lots of money into it for repair if necessary, etc.

That's not something we can answer for you. You have to decide that. Have to decide where the line is before replacing it. Like condition of body, how must rust underneath etc.

Exactly what Tigris said. It all depends on what you're willing to pay for and the condition of the vehicle. I say if it's not rusting out or giving you any problems, keep it until it does. Car payments suck and it's paid off.
