My mother just sent me some photos from under her 2014 CR-V saying she noticed oil some oil coming from around a black cover. I live 300 miles from her so I was hoping to identify the part and hopefully pick up a gasket or part before I go home for the holidays and fix it while I’m there. Can anyone identify this cover.

That looks like the rear main seal to me. The cover protects the flywheel area from dirt.

Usually, when those seals start to seep, it's because of crankcase pressure. Cleaning the PCV valve should help.

Remove the PCV valve and spray it with carb/brake cleaner, it should rattle when you shake it afterwards. Honda PCVs rarely need to be replaced.
