Just joining because we purchased a new 2018 CRV and already noticed that the dome light will not go off and on when door is opened and closed . Moved the switch in all 3 positions and it will only stay on in the one position. Other 2 positions it stays off . Will take it in for them to check .

Hopefully it is just a bad or improperly installed bulb.
