2003 Honda C-RV is running strong, but has had a lot of work done. Most recently the catalytic converter. I am at least a whopping 281,000 miles! I calculated this from CarFAX report odometer roll backs. I am the 3rd owner and I got swindled. The actual mileage is likely much more than what I am able to derive.

Sorry to hear this. Do you have any recourse with the seller?

i just bought a 2014 with 172000 miles, never bought such a high mileage car before. i also bought a warranty on the engine, transmission and axles (awd system). something i would have never done before, its for 24 months, i will see how its doing in 2 years and keep it or maybe find another one if it gives me problems.

I have a ‘99 with about 230k km’s so 144k miles. I feel age and rust may get to it before miles 😭
It was born an Ontario car so has seen a lot of salt. It is also my winter car so gets parked for the summer. Thankfully winter is 8 months in Calgary 😂

It now burns a bit of oil. May be because my brother never did any maintenance when he had it and the oil sticker said about 35k km since the last change when it came to me….
Well that was 11 years ago so can’t complain 😉
Still lots of power and shifts and rides great! I’m hoping the rust will go slow.

I'm especially curious about Gen 5 V's, since I just bought a 1.5L. Who has high mileage on a 2017 to 2022?

For an honorable mention (and as I've mentioned elsewhere), my 2001 LX has 217k miles. Unfortunately, it's sitting in my parking lot now with a head gasket issue. In the last 20,000 miles I had to get some significant engine work done after the timing belt broke, and then the radiator broke. I think the radiator is what led to the head gasket issue. If I had more mechanical acumen, I suspect I could still get a lot of life out of the vehicle. As is, it's a good lesson for all owners that want a long vehicle life: check fluids (I would have caught my radiator issue before any overheating and before head gasket issues) and stay up on maintenance (I'm sure I was due for a timing belt change when it broke).

I’ve got a 99. 5 and manual awd, b20z. All original engine and tranny never been gone through. Approx 461,000 miles on her. Still runs like a charm. Wouldn’t want any other car than a crv. Planning a lift spacers from Aerogenics and some tires soon. I still daily this crv. It was originally an ex, but I painted the bumpers to match an se. much love for these cars.

What have you had to replace and repair? Mine is running with about 215k and I want her to last forever. It's stock engine and drivetrain, but has full intake and exhaust and some other underbody upgrades that the previous owner put on. Any tips?

How's it run with a turbo kit on so many miles? And what turbo did you use? Looking to add a little more power to my 215k mile 1998 crv, but I don't want to do anything crazy that would make its lifespan much shorter haha.

In 2021 i put 7,000 miles on my 2003. So i am at 219,000. I think my sway bar bushings or end links are shot. Im gonna try again to seal the oil pan. Oil spots on driveway r nasty. Hope to get to 300k someday. Car is cosmetically rough. Putting new tires on so kinda committed now.

My 2001 CRV SE has 297,657 miles.

Original engine, original transmission, original head gaskets.
Her bones rattle a bit, but her motor still purrs.

Type of gas used: anything, anywhere except diesel.
Type of oil used: any type of motor oil.
I do change all the fluids every 2 years - differential included.
Oil changes, once per year.
Spark plug, wires, and distributor cap change every 5 years.
Timing belt change every 100,000 miles.
Tire and brake maintenance as needed.

That's about it.

It's a shame the new ones look like miniature eggs.

She's a fantastic car.

I agree about the new look being overly round and egg like. Wish they went back to a more sporty style.

Here’s a question for the high mileage RD1’s:
How much oil does yours use? Mine uses a bit and I know it’s burning it but I also have a minor oil leak at the cam end cap. I only have 230k km, so it may take me many more years to get to “high mileage” since I don’t drive a lot and it’s my winter car.
