High Mileage Thread 2015-2016 CRV

Hello all...I’m interested in hearing about the high mileage on your 2015 & 2016 CRVs with CVT and Earth Dreams engine, and any crazy repairs you may have endured to get there.

The 2013-2017 Accords have the same power train and I’ve seen some high milers above 200K on Auto Trader. That’s a good sign. Let’s see some CRVs. I have 67K on my 15 EX-L Navi and plan on another 100K+, as the car is perfect for me as a DD. It has been bulletproof so far.

Wish I could contribute. Have 50k miles 2015 touring. Got the vibration at idle fix. Other than that no issues at all knock on wood. Hoping for about 16-17 years and 200k relative trouble free miles.

2015 EX AWD 59,000 miles. Just the vibration fix back in Fall '15. Other than oil changes, air & cabin filters. and a set of tires - CVT drain and fill twice, rear diff fluid twice, brake fluid flush, coolant drain and fill.

I had the vibration fix too per dealer service records. Got the modes 1 and 2. I’ve had it a year and it’s been a pleasure every day. Just an all around good car
Me too, Mode 1 & 2. To be honest, some of the services I've had done were just because I figured it's about time to do something besides oil & filter. As it is, I already get that done at 30% oil life. The CVT fluid change was a good idea, IMO. So far it really is that modern vehicle that you only need to change fluids every now and then. Maybe not forever, but we'll see!! [all around good car it is]
2106 Touring AWD @ 62,000mi

All service done by Honda following the service minder without doing any of the dealer up-sells. Only additional service was the brake system flush at 3 years as recommend by Honda.

On the second windshield, (Honda issued a letter specifying OEM glass only for safety sensing. Download here: https://rts.i-car.com/images/pdf/oem-info/honda/position-statements/29893.pdf) Insurance was insisting on aftermarket glass until I sent them the letter.

Battery replaced at 37k with lifetime battery from dealer because of the parasitic drain on some CR-Vs.

Original tires replaced at 30k because if sidewall damage to one tire. Installed Michelin premier A/S. Worse Michelin tires I have ever owned and after 15k I returned to the tire shop and told them something was not right with the tires. Noise, pulling, rough ride. They replaced with Michelin Premier LTX and the difference was amazing. Old tires were sent back under warranty.

Vibrates at idle in gear and not in neutral. No fix available for the 2016 but I knew this when purchasing.

Navigation/Radio/Touchscreen can burn in a fire pit in hell.

This vehicle sees city, highway and light off-road/fire trails for work and does well.

54,000 on my 2016 EX-L. Replaced the tires and swapped the battery with my Miata (to put the new one in the CRV). No issues of any kind other than the TSB for the transmission.
I have a 2015 with over 82,000 miles and have only had normal fluid changes and just got my brakes done for the first time.
I'm slacking. Just shy of 40k

98,000 on a 2012 crv ex-l. Needed to have full brake service at 97,000.
It loses a lot of power climbing a moderate incline and dealer is recommending valve adjustment and throttle service.I can't believe anything a dealer says so I'm looking for advise and recommendations for what I should ask an independent mechanic to do.

I'm at 96,000 miles on my 2015 EX-L. I had the aforementioned misfiring due to carbon buildup at 89k, but after the cylinder head and fuel injectors were replaced, it has been running fine. That said, I plan to dump the car when the extended warranty is up in the next 12-18 months and look for something without direct injection.

Get the valve adjustment done, replace the spark plugs, and replace the serpentine belt. It’s time to do those maintenance items at that mileage.

Oh boy. Sounds like a colonoscopy at <100k. What happened to Honda reliability?

I'll be curious about others passing 90-110k if this issue appears to be common or not. Let's hope not.

Probably will be one of the lowest on here at 25,100 miles.

2013 Sport model with 302ks and only servicing done. Runs really nicely. The only other owner was a dairy company and it was used for long trips frequently so all hot running. Has the 2.4 motor.

Nope, a 16’ with 6,587.

Wife’s car.
