I installed a Curt unit, quite similar and there are great videos on YouTube that show exactly what's involved. The only tricky part is removing and cutting the under panel correctly, but not hard.

Watched Youtube videos and the project doesn't look too bad my dad and I will attempt this weekend. I really wish there were more tips to make the appearance panel not have to have a huge hole in it.

Follow the directions as to size of opening and you should be fine. Just for clarity, the opening should be a rectangle, not a hole, which would be quite obvious. Once the hitch is in place, you won't even notice, as the hitch blocks most of the view.
