I've been toying with adding a hitch to my v or wife's car. Noticed that www.etrailer.com is severely discounting hitches for the V.
Perhaps they see limited demand for an old generation vehicle.
Certainly we should expect Honda's own accessories to gradually become NLA for this generation.

Given how many Gen 4 CRV's were sold, it's hard to imagine that accessories will ever be in short supply, even from Honda. I guess you could check the stock of OEM accessories from places like Bernardi and College Hills on Gen 3 (or even Gen 2) OEM accessories.

Unless Honda changes their inventory setup they used to keep accessories available long after the vehicle is sold. For instance I put the OEM Honda hitch, transmission cooler, & power steering cooler on our 2005 Pilot in 2014 and getting those accessories was no problem even though the vehicle was 9 years old at the time.

That is their normal prices! Nothing special. Toyota Rav4 prices are the same.

One of the nicest hitches you will find for you CR-V is the Ecohitch at Torklift Central. Just google it. You will pay a bit more, but Torklift puts out a very nice product.
