Honda said Tuesday it plans to make 1.15 million vehicles in Japan in the fiscal year ending March 31, revising down its forecast made just a week earlier for output of 1.17 million vehicles.

Honda also said it plans to cut its planned North American production to 1.26 million vehicles, a further reduction of 29,000 vehicles from those announced so far, and down about 12% from a year earlier.

Chinese production

Not from this article but from other Honda releases, the majority off all Chinese production is for local sales. With all the new dealers added in '09 in China it only makes sense to sell locally.

My take is that sales in China are expected to go up while in Japan and the US down due to the economy.
