Where is the CR-EV? The ICE is soooooooo 20th Century. The Model Y, Mustang Mach-e, E-tron, ID.4, Ioniq 5, EV6, XC-40 Recharge, iPace, and others are way ahead. It took a while for people to switch from horses to automobiles as well. And from land lines to cell phones. Yes, grids are still pretty polluting, but are you goling to turn off your TV and unplug your refrigerator, too? Go green and install your own power generating station, and charge at home guilt-free, where 90% of charging takes place effortlessly. Besides, when we switch to EV's, we end the Wars of Terror in the Middle East for oil, poppy, pipelines, the petrodollar, and the defense of Israel.

Setting aside your propaganda lecture, which I will respond to separately... I think it is you that do not get it.

IF.. IF you followed media and news discussions (the forum actually has an entire sub forum for this) around Honda at all on the matter of EVs... you would already know a good deal about Honda's EV plans in the next few years.

Honda has publicly announced that their first true EV Honda hits the US market in 2023 model year, with more to follow after that. This is also consistent with Honda's long published roadmap away from ICE and into EV/Hybrids. Roughly in line calendar wise with the other EV brands/models you are salivating over. And it will be quite competitive too... being designed and built with GM Altium battery technololgy coupled with Honda drive systems.

What a load of..... going green by going EV is not going green.. not even if you install your own solar system with battery on your home. Electricity in the US largely comes directly from fossil fuel burns by power generation plants. It is NOT green.. at least in the US. Now.. in Germany, where they have much more actual green power sources, your propaganda is a bit closer to the real world.

Besides, when we switch to EV's, we end the Wars of Terror in the Middle East for oil, poppy, pipelines, the petrodollar, and the defense of Israel.
Oh PLEASE!!! Conflict in the Middle East has nothing to do with oil any more. Especially for the US.... which is actually largely self-sufficient now days without Middle East oil sources.

Conflict in the Middle East will not be solved with EVs. Period.... full stop.

The ICE is soooooooo 20th Century.

and if Biden gets his way, you will get a $7k federal tax credit
The last I checked ICE powered Hondas are doing quite well in the 21st century. Well enough that the government is bribing people to buy EVs with tax credits.

All EV batteries are warranteed for 8 years and 100,000 miles. By that time, you will probably pay way less, or get some new technology that obsoletes the battery. Tesla expects their batteries to last one million miles. Old batteries that have some life left can be repurposed as home batteries for solar systems, and dead batteries can be recycled: Can Electric Car Batteries Be Recycled?

Sorry, this thread is nothing but a rant and a re-hash of the other now closed Tesla thread.

@williamsji rightly pointed out that the site has a News/Media section which is awash with Honda's corporate strategy and electrification for vehicles (see below). Use the search feature - it works and is there for a reason. Engage on one of those threads without politics / war on terror and other claptrap. And calm yourself down @rambunkshuss - you seem to have lost a bit of control/sanity since that last Tesla-related thread. Keep calm....

Thread locked.
