I have a 2022 hybrid touring. There are two trays, one is sliding and the other is behind that. I keep anything I need frequently on the sliding tray. I don't really keep anything in the storage space below the tray because I don't want junk to accumulate.

You might search Amazon for a storage tray to go that space. I know for my Accord they have a organizer tray. I just haven't cared to look for anything on my CR-V.

We get a slide cover over the lower section. At the top level we get one long tray with the arm rest partially covering it so most people who want things quickly accessible but out of site just push them to the back under the arm rest.

Interested to see what yours looks like. Can you post some pics?
The 2022 Hybrid is different. There are two trays. The forward most one slides and the rear one stays put but can be removed like the front one.

This is the 2022. It's different than what people posted above. There are two trays. My hybrid touring is just like this.

I was able to remove both trays by simply lifting up on one side, doesn't matter what side. There are springs in there will go in when you pull up on one side. I jus did this on my 2022 hybrid touring.

Have you figured out how to remove this? I bought an organizer through Amazon, but I am in the same situation as you. Let me know if you found a way.
I replied to someone above on this. You simply life them out, There are spring loaded tabs on each side and you just lift up on either side. very easy to do.

Oh, how I so wish it’d be the case!!!! Do you think you can show me what you are talking about??? I so hope mine would work like yours!!! I brought my car to the dealer today trying to see if they could show me. No luck. In fact, I was told that I’d have to remove entire console to remove this tray. I wasn’t going to take a chance. Honestly, would you be able to show me the image? I’d be happy to upload mine. This really should not have to be this difficult, I think. Thank you for responding to my post.
I have a hybrid touring and all you do is pull up on either side of one of the trays and they pop out. Unless they are different on the other trim levels, this is all you do. It’s very simple and easy. Mine are getting dirty and I have to clean them so I’m taking them out this week.

Really!?!?! Then there is hope then!!! While I took this image from the internet, mine looks exactly the same. Would you mind please showing me via FaceTime or video chat? Id be happy to set it up.
By the way, thank you so much for your quick response!
It can’t be any easier than this. Simply pull up on either side of the tray and it will come out. You’ll see those tabs that hold it in it’s track once it’s removed. It’s really simple to take out.
