I have a 2000 CRV 2WD AT. Only reciently the keyless entry began to act up.
1. I have two fobs, both with good batteries and both give same results.
2. The two front doors lock only occasionally and never unlock. The two back doors always lock and unlock. Lights come on when the locks work (i.e. lights do not operate independent - only when the locks work).
4. Eventhough the front doors do not always lock or unlock, the horn does always sound on the second pushing of the fob button.
5. I have taken apart the drivers door and exposed the control module. It is PN 38380-S10-A03-M1, Omron G8D-452H-B. When I push the fob button, I can hear a relay in the control module "click." When I try to "unlock," I hear a relay "click" but the front doors do not unlock. I am not sure but it does sound like something is try to do it's job down in the door (like a solenoid) but not sure.
6. In searching archives, I see someone said there is a separate relay under the dash that controls all doors other than the driver's door. I can't find any such relay. ????? I can't find anywhere on the web where I can get a new control module however, I am not sure at this time it is the problem. On the other hand, it could be a relay contact that has broken or burnt etc.
Does anyone have a trouble shooting method so that I can determine the exact problem? Obviously, I may be able to replace the control module and see if that makes it work but that is an expensive test (as I see from other posts), assuming I can find one.
Thanks, Dan
