You probably will need to replace the A-piller trim piece for it to look good again. The shop that replaced the windshield should cover the cost if they were the ones that damaged the part.

If I took a guess, they spilled or got some solvent on the pillar plastic when removing the old adhesive around the frame. The windows nowadays are glued in instead of a gasket of yesterdays.

This is my guess too, but am not sure to remove it! Other than replacing the A-pillers side :(
