I have a 2005 EX CRV and want to buy 3 used wheels to match my alloy spare for snow tires. My rims are 16" 10 spoke and it appears there are multiple manufacturers. Asahi, Cromodora, Enkei, Hayes Lemmerz and Kosei. All look similar on car-part.com. How are these ID'ed, what are the differences and does it matter?

Start by removing a wheel and look for the stampings on the back of the spokes. Normally the manufacturer will be marked there. The most likely differences between manufacturers will be color of the finish, and possible some varying degrees of quality in workmanship.

The USA market, factory 16" wheels on my Japan-assembled 2006 were made by Enkei. (Says so, inside the spokes...take your spare off and look.)

But if the other manufacturers built the same-style wheels for Honda, it probably doesn't matter and they will look the same on the outside.

I have '99 Acura TL 16 inchers as my snow wheels and the offset is identical (see my sig). Those were also made by Enkei.
