I'm installing a back-up camera on my '04 CRV EX, and I need to run a power wire from the battery to the tailgate door. So far, I have routed the wire (inside some of that plastic sheath stuff) through the factory tailgate door wiring boot and into the little nook for the jack. I feel like the easiest way to run the wire is to drop it down all the way outside the vehicle and then run it all the way up to the engine bay in the front. Problem is, in order to drill a hole from the jack compartment down to the outside, I need to remove the entire plastic floor and sides of the trunk. Anyone have any tips for how to get the plastic cargo liner out, or an easier/better way of running the wire?
