My Honda came with all seasonal tires are 225/65R 17, I have a set of winter 205/ 60R 16 92T . I'm wondering if I will end up with any damage by running these steel rims & tires , wheel bearings... 16"- 17"

According to the tire size calculator I checked, the 16" wheels will be running 785 revs/mile while the stock wheels run 707 revs/mile. That winter combo is about 9.9% less than the stock size. You'll be seeing worse gas mileage but if they fit why not use them?

that's about it going smaller tire, almost 10% which is pushing the limit on tire size difference but wont hurt, just a noticeable increase in RPM and your speedometer will be off 3+ mph (basically off by almost 10% of your actual speed)
